No — for either programme. The DevOps Bootcamp begins at absolute zero: no Linux, no cloud, no coding background required. The Business Bootcamp requires no coding, design, or IT knowledge. If you can use a laptop and commit to sessions consistently, you are ready.
The DevOps Bootcamp is for people who want to build a career as a cloud or DevOps engineer. The Business Bootcamp is for people who run or are building a business and want to leverage digital tools to grow it. If you're unsure, email us and we'll help you decide.
Yes — and we actively encourage it. Graduates of the Business programme who want to go deeper can progress to the DevOps Bootcamp. DevOps graduates who want to grow their own businesses will find the Business Bootcamp directly relevant.
All sessions are live and virtual — join from anywhere in Nigeria or West Africa with a stable internet connection. Sessions are recorded and available for 7 days. Monthly in-person meetups are held at the Fernwood Systems Lagos office and live-streamed for remote students.
Sessions are recorded and available within 24 hours for 7 days. Students are expected to attend at least 80% of live sessions to qualify for their certificate. Missed sessions should be communicated to the tutor where possible.
Full refund within 7 days of payment if the programme hasn't started. 50% refund before end of Week 2. No refund after Week 2. Students who cannot continue may defer to the next cohort with at least 2 weeks' notice, subject to availability.
A functioning laptop (any OS) and a stable internet connection. For the Business Bootcamp, a smartphone is needed for WhatsApp Business exercises. Accepted students receive a detailed onboarding pack with all setup instructions before the first class.
